Market status for Intelligent Wear Products




According to the research data released by IDC market research company, from 2013 to 2020, the global shipments of wearable devices have been increasing year by year. The initial growth rate is fast, and in the past two years, it has shown an explosive growth trend.In 2019, about 337 million wearable devices were shipped globally, up 81.2% year on year;Shipments of wearable devices surged 32% to 444.7 million in 2020, even after the pandemic.


IDC predicts that wearable device shipments will continue to grow with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.4% over the next five years as the global market for wearable devices continues to rise.The latest data shows that 104.6 million wearable devices were shipped in the first quarter of 2021, up 34.4% from the 77.8 million units shipped in the same period last year and marking the first time that global shipments of wearable devices exceeded 100 million units in the first quarter.IDC has strong long-term growth momentum for AR glasses, with shipments expected to grow 45.6% in 2021 and 138% cagR to 2025, making it another major force in the wearables market.

According to Canalys' March 2021 "Global Shipments of Personal Smart Audio and Wearable Wristband Devices" report, personal smart audio devices, two segments of the consumer iot segment, will grow 20% to 432 million units in 2020, while wearable wristband devices will grow 10%.185 million units.Among them, TWS headphones and wearable watches are the two dominant categories, accounting for more than half of the shipments in their respective market segments.
